Prologue: What are you reading, and who am I?

      Let me start by saying that I am by no means a professional writer, nor am I a psychologist, behavioral scientist, or even someone with a fancy title. I consider myself a philosopher of people, a spectator of life. Whether you choose to agree the things I write about or not is completely up to you.

     This is my perspective on people, this is how I see the world. Everyone is different in how they interact with their surroundings, and this field guide is a record of my observations. 

     My childhood and past was dark, even living in a first world country like America. One terrible, depressing day after another manifested evil thoughts, and for the longest time, I was all alone in a deep pit of despair. One day, I realized, I didn't want to be this way anymore. I began to take mental notes on how everyone around me would react to any situation, whether it be a long time couple breaking up, or the stranger at the town coffee shop, raging on how his coffee was missing sugar. I also opened up to many people, and indulged myself in their life stories.

     Years passed, and eagerly I learned more and more about people, and it finally came down to a point where I would be able to profile a person accurately and even have an idea of what their life was like in the past, all within five minutes of talking. This gave me a strange kind of openness and confidence, which had magically changed me into a very outgoing and sociable person. I suddenly had friends,who would often (unknowingly) use my database of people to solve their life problems via my advice.
     This database has never been written down nor spoken about. I had always kept it to myself, because:

1. It just outright sounds crazy and somewhat disturbing
2. How does one even go about explaining such a thing? (I have tried explaining my database to select few friends, but it always ends up sounding like awkward babble)

However, I'm writing this field guide on people and documenting the different profiles that were in the library of my mind in hopes that it can help at least some people the way it helped me. I figure pick-up artists use similar profiling techniques to confront people, only my journal works with most everyone and is intended to last longer than one shallow night.

     Who knows, maybe you'll develop your own profiling ability. Perhaps you'll become so good at knowing people that you'll be able to manipulate their will, almost like a Jedi using the force ;)
